Concrete vs. Fiberglass Pools

Choosing a swimming pool is a BIG decision. Not only will it take up significant space in your backyard but it will likely be the single most expensive item you put in your home.

1. The design of a concrete swimming pool is almost limitless. It can be deeper and bigger than a fiberglass one. Fiberglass pools are made in the factory to a set mould. There are many different shapes and sizes, but they are all limited to a certain size because they have to fit on a truck for delivery. Concrete Swimming Pools give you complete control to create the pool of your dreams and can be the perfect size.

2. If you have an awkward small corner, you can still have a concrete pool built there. But it would be difficult or impossible to get the right size and shape in fiberglass.

3. If your heart is set on some stunning waterlines tiles, you will need to opt for concrete over fiberglass.

4. If repairs or renovations are needed, concrete is easier and so cheaper to fix than fiberglass.

5. Fiberglass pools age after 10 years; a concrete swimming pool strengthens over time.
